We are so excited to host our wedding at this incredible venue!
The HideOut is surrounded by thousands of acres of National Forest, green
open meadows, and granite mountain tops. The 40 acre property boasts a
private lake, saloon with pool table and bar, 30-person natural granite hot
tub, expansive meadow, and serene outdoor ceremony site. The lodge and saloon
were built by the owners, Tom and BJ, and their sons using hand-peeled logs
from the surrounding area. They will be present during our Big Day; be sure
and say hi!
Guests far and wide will be traveling through the beautiful Sierra Nevadas, south of Lake Tahoe, near the Kirkwood Ski Resort. The HideOut's driveway begins off of Highway 88- look for a sign! After a fairly treacherous 2 mile drive down a dirt road, the trees open up and this million dollar view welcomes you. The fun's not over yet; you still have to get over PuckerButt Hill!
The main lodge features a wood-burning fireplace, prep kitchen, bedroom-suites and a back deck right on the water. Guests are welcome to relax in the spacious living room or enjoy the deck.
Niki and Coda will be staying here with their Wedding Posse.
The saloon features a kitchen, upstairs lounge area for bored kids, pool table, bar, and front porch overlooking a fire pit.
This is where guests staying off-site can store personal belongings and relax with drinks and snacks.
The hot tub was built into the side of the lake, using the natural granite boulders as the bottom and sides. It overlooks the lake and will definitely be nice and hot for our use. Please follow one of the *only* rules at the HideOut- NO GLASS. There will be a table set up where you can swap cups for bottles.
The lake should be warm enough to swim in and cool enough to refresh us in the heat of the day. Bring your swim suits and beach towels! Please remember: Parents are responsible for their little ones and that it's NOT deep enough to dive into.
Our ceremony will be in a beautiful location a short walk from the lodge. We will parade together after Cocktail Hour for a short and sweet ceremony so we can get back to dancin'!
After a delicious dinner, shake your tail feather on the dance floor! We'll have a few surprises up our sleeves, but don't count on all that stuff folks do at *other* weddings.
